Register for CBe-learn 2025-2026
Students new to CBE must first register for their Regular Program school,
through School Engage: https://schoolengage.cbe.ab.ca. Use the Find A School Tool to confirm a student’s designated school.
Grades 1-9
How to Register
1. Take the Online Learning Self / Family Assessment Survey to determine appropriateness of program.
2. Follow all instructions on the ECS to Grade 9 Transfer Request Form.
3. Send completed transfer form to cbelearn@cbe.ab.ca
4. CBe-learn will contact families with additional transfer information.
Grades 10-12
How to Register
1. Take the Online Learning Self / Family Assessment Survey to determine appropriateness of program.
2. Familiarize yourself with the high school pages and programming details available on our website.
Prior to Sept 30
Complete the Unique Settings Transfer Request Form and submit it to the administration at your current school.
After Sept 30
Students are not eligible to transfer unless there are exceptional medical circumstances. Please consult with the administration at your school in this case.
If a transfer is not approved, the student will remain registered at their designated CBE school.
Important
- Transferring to CBe-learn is a commitment for the full school year.
- Students who transfer to CBe-learn from other schools with alternative programs or capped enrolment will not have their space held and would need to go through the transfer or lottery process again if they wish to return in future years.
- If parents share joint custody, all parents/guardians must agree with the decision to transfer.
- International Students are not eligible for full time online registration with CBe-learn, please refer to the CBE international Student information page for more information about international student opportunities
- Walk-in appointments cannot be accommodated at this time.

Registration for Non-Canadian Students
Welcome to Our Diverse and Inclusive Academic Community!
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us. Our schools are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environments where students will learn, make new friends, and discover their talents and interests. Students who are not Canadian citizens must register through CBE Welcome Centre, even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada.

At the CBE, when you are transitioning from elementary to middle school, or from middle school to high school, you will be automatically registered at your designated school according to your home address. To find out what your designated school is, use our Find a School tool. If you are interested in attending a school other than your designated school, visit CBE'sTransfers page for transfer information. Please note that some schools are quite full and not able to accept all transfer requests.
