Tips and Advice

Software Requirements

You will be asked to access various software applications to complete your work. For most courses, you will need access to a word processor (Word), a spreadsheet program (Excel) and presentation software (PowerPoint). To complete your course work, you may choose from two applications. CBe-learn suggests you use Microsoft Office (Standard or Teacher/Student Edition). 

• CBE students can obtain a free copy of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Subscribing to D2L Discussions

You can subscribe to any D2L Discussions (including Private Discussions) so they come right to your mobile device via email or text. This is a great way to stay in touch with your school community or teacher and be notified immediately when you receive messages. Each course should provide specific instructions on how to do this. You can also view the instructions D2L.
