If you are interested in attending a post-secondary school after high school we advise students to explore schools and programs of interest early. myBlueprint and alis Alberta are good places to start researching programs and post-secondary institutions that may be of interest.  


University Applications

Many post-secondary programs open their applications the beginning of October. The application window usually closes early spring, with some programs closing as early as mid-January, depending on the institution and the program. High demand programs tend to have application deadlines closing, or filling, earlier. As well, some post-secondary institutions require students apply by the beginning of December to be considered for select entrance scholarships.

We highly encourage students and families to carefully review the admissions pages of the post-secondary programs the student is interested in applying to as early as possible to confirm application and scholarship deadlines.
