Our Agriculture Pathway is ideal for students who are interested in propagating plants, gardening, landscaping, and greenhouse or nursery crops.
PLEASE NOTE: Each course listed below is worth one credit. Students usually aim to complete 5 of these courses in a semester (earning a total of five credits), but are also welcome to complete more if they wish.
The Agriculture single-credit courses are combined with Environmental Stewardship and Wildlife pathways.
Introductory
AGR1050: Plant Propagation
Students are introduced to plant structures and propagation techniques for growing healthy plants. Cultural requirements for plant production and technological and chemical influences on plant production are also explored.

AGR1055: Gardening
Students learn about basic gardening and the need to consider regional climates, water availability and exposure to sunlight. Students have the opportunity to plan and design a garden that may thrive in Alberta.
